Your burning desire to jet set to another destination leaves you longing to immerse yourself in the culture and atmosphere that awaits. You feel at home when you are furthest away from home. Wherever your wanderlust takes you, your exotic bohemian essence follows.

As founder, designer and owner behind Tesoro del Sol, my passion lies in designing and handcrafting exotic bohemian jewelry for both women and men. Working with an array of rustic and organic materials such as raw semiprecious stones, minerals, crystals, unique vintage glass components, and a variety of metals, allows my organic design aesthetic to evoke your free spirit and wanderlust.

My interest in jewelry was piqued years ago, when I came across an antique treasure chest filled with vintage beaded necklaces which looked like they needed to be “rescued”. With little to no tools at hand, I began to reinvent some of those pieces by taking each one apart, then mixing and matching the loose beads, stones and charms to recreated new pieces. Before long, I felt compelled to begin wearing my newly up-cycled designs when much to my surprise, I began to turn heads as people started to take notice of my new found talent.

I attribute much of my innate creativity to my mother, who is also an artist in her own right. For as long as I could remember, she would crochet intricate items using brightly coloured wool and yarn. Although her craft remained a life long hobby, she undeniably passed the skill of attention to detail and ability to work with delicate materials onto me. She taught me to crochet but I didn't continue with it. I've always been a right brained creative type, observing everything around me for inspiration. Today, I’m grateful for this gift of creativity and my undying passion to create exotic bohemian jewelry pieces that speak to you.
